1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Mock Band, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

2. Early Access Program

Mock Band is currently in Early Access:

  • All premium features are unlocked during the early access period
  • The application is provided “as-is” and may contain bugs or incomplete features
  • Features, pricing, and availability are subject to change
  • Your feedback helps shape the final product

3. License and Usage

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Mock Band for:

  • Personal music creation and practice
  • Professional music production
  • Educational purposes
  • Live performance and recording

You may NOT:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense access to Mock Band
  • Use the service for illegal purposes
  • Attempt to bypass authentication or access controls

4. User Content and Data

You retain all rights to musical content created using Mock Band:

  • MIDI data, scenes, and settings are yours
  • We claim no ownership over your creative output
  • You are responsible for backing up your data (scenes, settings)
  • Local storage can be cleared by your browser; we cannot recover lost data

5. Availability and Support

During Early Access:

  • The service may be unavailable or modified without notice
  • We will make reasonable efforts to maintain uptime and stability
  • Support is provided on a best-effort basis
  • Breaking changes may be introduced; we will notify users when possible

6. Browser Compatibility

Mock Band requires a modern web browser with:

  • Web Audio API support (required)
  • AudioWorklet support (required)
  • WebMIDI support (optional, for MIDI features)
  • Web Speech API support (optional, for voice control)

Chrome and Edge provide the best experience. Safari and Firefox have limited MIDI support.

7. Limitation of Liability

Mock Band is provided “AS-IS” without warranty of any kind:

  • We are not liable for any loss of data, content, or creative work
  • We are not responsible for audio equipment damage
  • We are not liable for interruptions to your workflow or performances
  • You use Mock Band at your own risk

Important: Always back up your work and test thoroughly before live performance use.

8. Audio Output Warning

Warning: Mock Band generates audio output that may be loud. Always start with low volume settings and increase gradually. We are not responsible for:

  • Hearing damage from excessive volume
  • Speaker or amplifier damage
  • Unexpected audio output during live use

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to:

  • Terminate early access for violations of these terms
  • Modify or discontinue features at any time
  • Change pricing structure after early access period ends

You may stop using Mock Band at any time by clearing your browser data and not accessing the application.

10. Privacy

Your use of Mock Band is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated to early access users via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with those laws and jurisdiction.
